Redwing let all homes in record time at New Ferry regeneration site.

Liverpool based property agency, Redwing, has successfully let all homes at its latest
development in New Ferry, in less than two weeks.

Sorrel Place is a collection of 20 Rent to Buy homes built in the centre of New Ferry’s
regeneration. The rapid uptake in homes reflects the strong demand for affordable and high-quality housing in Wirral.

Delivered in partnership with The Regenda Group and Wirral Council, Sorrel Place plays a
significant role in the regeneration of New Ferry, with Redwing managing the full marketing,
lettings, and property management in-house.

The development offers 13 one-bedroom and 7 two-bedroom apartments, available through
Rent to Buy - a more affordable way onto the property ladder. Residents pay rent at a 20%
reduced rate, helping them save to buy a home in the future. Prices start from £580pcm
(including 20% reduction).

Jessica Turner, Head of Sales, Lettings and Growth at Redwing, said:

“We’re so pleased that all homes at Sorrel Place were reserved off-plan - and in less than
two weeks! We had a huge waiting list thanks to months of engagement with the local
community, so we knew there was real excitement around this development. With the
homes available through Rent to Buy, they offer a brilliant opportunity for people to take
that first step onto the property ladder - it’s no surprise they’ve been snapped up so
quickly.“The speed of reservations shows just how strong the demand is for quality housing that’s
truly affordable, and we’re proud to be bringing that to New Ferry. As part of The Regenda
Group, we’re proud to be working with Wirral Council on the regeneration of the area, and
we can’t wait to welcome our new residents later this year.”

Cllr Mark Skillicorn, Chair of Wirral Council’s Economy, Regeneration and Housing Committee, said:

“It’s fantastic to see how quickly the new homes at Sorrell Place have
been reserved and goes to show how important our focus on delivering high quality,
affordable homes is.
“Our partnership with The Regenda Group in New Ferry is a cornerstone of revitalising the
area, bringing a mix of new housing with real architectural value into the town centre, which
will be complemented by improvements to roads and public spaces over the coming months.
As the new residents move in this Autumn, it’s a real milestone for the continued investment
in the local community.”

Residents at Sorrel Place will be the second group of residents to move in as part of the
wider redevelopment, following 14 residents already housed on Bebington Road through
affordable rent with social landlord, Regenda Homes.

Sorrel Place is expected to complete in November 2025 and will mark completion of the first
phase of the regeneration project, with a second phase of the project to bring a further 43
homes currently in the development stage.
