Help Centre 56 bring joy to families this Christmas
Centre 56 is a Liverpool charity close to our hearts and we’re proud to support the incredible work they do. Centre 56 provides childcare, information and support for families and children who have suffered or are at risk of suffering from, domestic abuse or a crisis situation. Located in North Liverpool, the highly experienced and qualified team help families within a safe and secure environment.
Centre 56 relies on fundraising and donations to support the children and families that use their services. Donations give children and their families a second chance to move on, recover and develop.
Christmas can be a difficult time for many families, and it is especially hard for those who are vulnerable and suffering hardship. Many people fleeing domestic abuse or crisis situations leave with little money or personal items such as clothing, which can make it extremely difficult to consider purchasing gifts for Christmas.
At this time of year, Centre 56 usually receives donations from people and businesses across the city centre such as toys, selection boxes and gifts for parents. However, the change in working environments, such as working from home and furlough, has made it difficult for Centre 56 to receive these donations this year.
We’re supporting Centre 56 this year, to make Christmas special for the families they support – can you help?
Here are a few examples of the difference your donation will make:
- £5 means a child has a present to open on Christmas morning
- It costs around £570 a day to run Centre 56
- £222 will help provide catering to the families
How can I donate?
Physical donations
Centre 56 are accepting donations of new books for children aged 2 – 12. Contact the team to arrange a drop off appointment or post to the centre. Please contact the team via:
