Louise joins Alex Rigby in fundraiser ultra marathon for Centre 56!

After taking on one ‘L’ of a challenge in 2022, (running to every Liverpool postcode in a day), Centre 56 fundraiser Alex Rigby is back and planning something even bigger and better – and our very own Redwing Branch Manager Louise Nicholson is joining in!

On Saturday 10th February Alex will be running 60 miles in a day – running the railways! Following the route of Merseyrail’s Northern Line, Alex will depart from Hunts Cross and call at all 36 stations before finishing his challenge at Kirkdale, Centre 56’s closest station. This demanding challenge will take roughly 11 hours to complete, with Alex being supported by his friends, colleagues, and local businesses along the way.

Our Branch Manager Louise has bravely stepped forward as Redwing relay representative, running from St. Michael’s to Brunswick station… or as far as her legs will go!

Running the railways aims to raise money for Centre 56, a domestic abuse charity in the heart of North Liverpool who put children and families first. Centre 56 provide childcare, support and information for families and children who have suffered, or are at risk of domestic abuse crisis situation. Find out more about Centre 56 here.

Centre 56 and Redwing are both part of the Regenda Group, as one team we work to regenerate places and create opportunities for people. Find out more about the group here.
