Buildings Insurance

Do I need to arrange buildings insurance myself?  

No - buildings insurance is included as part of your service charge. The policy has recently been renewed, and you can find a summary of the cover and how to make a claim. Click here to find out more

What does buildings insurance cover?  

It covers the structure of your home, but not your personal belongings.  

Do I need contents insurance?  

Yes -  you're  responsible for  insuring  the contents of your home, including carpets, furniture, and personal items. Your contents insurance should  also  include cover for accidental damage to the property.  

 

Management Fee and Service Charges

What does the management fee cover?  

Your service charge includes a management fee which covers:  

  • Preparing service charge budgets  

  • Collecting and administering funds  

  • Producing audited end-of-year accounts  

  • Providing accounts to leaseholders  

  • A 24/7 emergency telephone line (0344 736 0063) 

  • Arranging and administering buildings insurance  

  • Advising on day-to-day management  

  • Responding to standard customer queries

Home Improvements

Can I make changes to my home?  

Your lease usually requires landlord consent for structural and some internal changes. Please contact us before starting any work  so  we  can  check your lease and guide you through our Home Improvement process.

What is staircasing? 

Staircasing is the process of buying more shares in your home, which can reduce your monthly rent. Your lease will specify the increments you can purchase. You can find out more here.
