Redwing receive Fair Employment Charter status

Redwing receive Fair Employment Charter status as part of The Regenda Group, and achieve the Aspiring Level in the Liverpool City Region Fair Employment Charter.

Joining the Fair Employment Charter demonstrates that Redwing and organisations within The Regenda Group, are committed to fair employment and dedicated to helping make the Liverpool City Region a healthy, fair, inclusive place to work.

Michael Birkett, Chief Executive Officer of TheRegendaGroup,said:

It is vital that our staff have a healthy, fair and encouraging environment to work in for them to go above and beyond for the people and places we work in within their roles.” 

Michelle Brooks, Director of Operations at Redwing, said: "We are delighted to be recognised in the Liverpool City Region and receive the Aspiring Level Fair Employment Charter Status. There are four main pillars set out in the Charter which organisations are required to meet, these are:
1. Healthy Pillar

We commit to safe workplaces supporting a healthy workforce
2. Fair Pillar
We commit to fair pay and fair hours.
3. Inclusive Pillar
We commit to inclusive workplaces that support staff to grow and develop.
4. Just Pillar
We commit to a voice for staff to help deliver justice in the workplace with opportunities available for young people.

Just some of the ways that The Regenda Group meets these pillars include our ‘Live and Learn’ scheme, where staff can learn a new skill outside of their work role, we have had collages learn everything from glass blowing to yoga teaching! We also offer flexible and agile working as well as enhanced annual leave and additional time off for special life milestones for example the first day of school.

At Redwing, we believe in coaching, growing, and developing our employees, with a wide variety of learning and development opportunities to suit different learning styles and career aspirations. We offer professional and vocational qualifications as well as training including the ‘Regenda Way’ programme for new and existing managers and the LEAD programme for aspiring leaders.

Our links with Liverpool based training provider, The Learning Foundry allows us to offer a range of sector-based qualifications and learning opportunities. Through The Learning Foundry, we also offer funded training to local people as part of our core purpose to regenerate places and create opportunities for people.
