Giving back this Christmas

Last week, our Leasehold Home Ownership Coordinator David, and Property Management Assistant Ella, visited the children and families at Centre 56, a domestic abuse charity. David and Ella came baring donations for children and their families on behalf of the staff at Redwing, including scarves, hats, gloves and clothing.

Claire Essame, Centre 56 Service Manager, said: “We’re so grateful for these donations from our colleagues at Redwing. The festive period can be challenging for many families, especially those we work with. For some people fleeing domestic abuse or crisis, they may leave with nothing but the clothes they’re wearing, so these donations really mean a lot to our children and families at Centre 56. Thank you!”

Talking about the support they have received from the team at Centre 56, one parent said: “I want to say thank you for all you have done. Please remember that although your job may be hard at times, you really do make a difference. When nobody could understand me, you were there to support and guide me. You helped me find my voice.”

Located in the heart of North Liverpool, Centre 56 are a domestic abuse charity that put children first, providing childcare, information and support for families and children who have suffered, or are at risk of domestic abuse or a crisis situation.

Centre 56 strive to have an impact and make a real difference in the lives of the children and families in their care. Over the past year thanks to funding, Centre 56 have supported 64 children, 55 adults and made over 800 between March and June 2020 to provide support and advice to parents and carers during the national lockdown.
