The Stamp Duty Holiday

On the 8th July 2020, the chancellor introduced the new Stamp Duty Holiday, with purchases under the value of £500,000 exempt from stamp duty until 31st March 2021. The holiday is a massive boost for people looking to own their own home, so if you're in the process or are thinking of buying your own home, don't miss out on this opportunity.

Fiona Coventry, Executive Director of Redwing said:

“The stamp duty holiday is great news for buyers, developers and estate agents like ourselves who’s businesses where put on hold during the coronavirus pandemic. The fact that the changes to stamp duty come into effect right away, means that buyers can continue with their plans to move home and the savings to be had, will allow more people the opportunity to take their first step on the housing ladder”.
